A silent lake

This is a new intepretation of an old photo of mine. I tried to get as close to the actual darkroom print as possible.

The sun was set and I was late.

I fixed the tripod and wondered if it would stay still in this wind. The lightemeter was useless in the dark -I questimated the exposure to be near f/8 and half an hour. The negative might not be very thick, but some kind of an image there definitely would be.

I set the camera settings, focus to hyperfocal and then the composition. The focusing screen was pitch dark at firs, but as my eyes adapted to dark the silhouette of the forest became visible.I pressed the shutter open and stepped carefully back.

I sat down, poured a little whiskey to my mug and watched the clouds move.

A hole

A hole in an aspen. Virrat, Finland

We were spotting flying squirrels in a forest near my fathers home in Virrat. All we found however were empty(?) holes in the trees and some squirrel poo. 

I tried a new film with this photo: Rollei retro 80s shot at box speed. I developed it in HC 110 dilution H for ten minutes and 24C. I inverted the plastic tank smoothly four times per minute. It might need some more development though, maybe 11 or 12 minutes would be better...
